Terms of Service

Effective: April 25, 2026

1. Acceptance

By using Asios Rooms ("the Service"), operated by Asios LLC ("we", "us"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The Service

Asios Rooms provides temporary, AI-powered chat rooms. Rooms are ephemeral — all messages, participants, and data are permanently deleted when the room expires, or within 120 seconds of the host leaving (whichever comes first). We do not archive or retain room content.

3. Accounts

Accounts are optional. You can create and join rooms without signing up. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for illegal activities
  • Send spam, malware, or abusive content
  • Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service
  • Circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions
  • Use Asios (the AI participant) to generate harmful, hateful, or illegal content

We may suspend or terminate access for violations without notice.

5. Asios (AI Participant) & Data Processing

Messages sent to Asios are processed by one of our AI providers, selected based on your plan (all USA-based). When you use Asios:

  • Your message is sent to Groq (Free), Anthropic (Pro / Team), or OpenAI (fallback) for processing
  • None of these providers use your data for model training on their production API tiers
  • Providers may retain your message for up to 30 days for safety monitoring
  • By using Asios, you consent to processing of your message by the applicable provider

AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate. We are not responsible for AI-generated content or for any provider's accuracy or availability.

6. Data Processing & Subprocessors

Your data is processed by the service providers below. Each is bound by their published Terms of Service and our agreements with them:

  • Render — Database and backend compute hosting
  • Vercel — Frontend hosting and edge functions
  • Stripe — Payment processing (PCI DSS compliant)
  • Groq — AI inference (Free plan)
  • Anthropic — AI inference (Pro & Team plans)
  • OpenAI — AI inference (fallback)

7. Paid Plans

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time — access continues until the end of your billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. We may change pricing with 30 days notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties. Asios LLC is not liable for:

  • Data loss (rooms are ephemeral by design)
  • Service interruptions or downtime
  • AI-generated content accuracy or availability
  • OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, Render, Vercel, or Stripe service failures
  • Loss of payment information (handled by Stripe)

Our maximum liability is limited to fees paid in the prior 12 months. By using the Service, you accept the risk that your data will be processed by third parties as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email for account holders.
